Author Correction: Enantioselective construction of inherently chiral pillar[5]arenes via palladium-catalysed Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling
In the original version of the article, the color keys for the spectra of pR-3a and pS-3a in Figs.4c, d and e as well as Figs.S3, S4, and S5 in the Supplementary information were erroneously interchanged; these figures have now been replaced with the corrected and peer-reviewed figures. The statement "The absolute configuration of 3a was confirmed as a pR conformer via X-ray crystallography" in the main text of the article has been corrected to "The absolute configuration of 3a was confirmed as a pR conformer via X-ray crystallography of its derivative 4l."The statement compound "N,N-diphenyl (4o)" in the main text of the article has been corrected to "N,N-diphenyl (4e)".The statement "This complex I then undergoes transmetallation with arylboronic acid 2 to generate intermediate III" in the main text of the article has been corrected to "This complex I then undergoes transmetallation with arylboronic acid 2 to generate intermediate II".The chemical identity of product 7c has not been established. Therefore, the statement "Most importantly, the fully aryl-substituted product 7c with high enantiocontrol could be obtained from 10OTf-pillar[5]arene 1e by simply prolonging the reaction time (Fig. 3c)" has been deleted in the main text of the article, along with the synthesis of 7c and the 1 H NMR of 7c from the Supplementary information.Additionally, the original panel c in Fig. 3 depicting compound 7c has been deleted. The original caption for Fig. 3 which read "a The reaction of 1c and 2a results in product 7a.b The reaction of 1d and 2a or PhB(OH) 2 results in products 7b and 7c.c The reaction of 1e and 2a results in product 7d.d Application to the synthesis of bicyclic diester compound 9a." has been updated to "a The reaction of 1c and 2a results in product 7a.b The reaction of 1d and 2a results in product 7b.c Application to the synthesis of bicyclic diester compound 9a."HPLC spectra with enhanced purity have replaced those provided for compounds 3c, 3e, 3f, 3l, 3ab, 6b, 6c, 6d, 7a in the Supplementary information.
