Development of a Mathematical Model of Gas Pipeline Operation in the Presence of a Crack

A mathematical model of a gas pipeline operation in the presence of a crack has been developed, taking into account ductile fracture. An equation describing the adiabatic flow of an ideal gas with a constant adiabatic density and dependencies for determining the critical loading resulting in appearance of cracks in the longitudinal and transverse directions have been obtained.

Abstract

A mathematical model of a gas pipeline operation in the presence of a crack has been developed, taking into account ductile fracture. An equation describing the adiabatic flow of an ideal gas with a constant adiabatic density and dependencies for determining the critical loading resulting in appearance of cracks in the longitudinal and transverse directions have been obtained.
