Front Cover: Modular and Vertically Integrated Microsupercapacitor Arrays Based on Laser‐Induced Graphene and Bimetallic Oxide Interfaces on Liquid Crystal Polymer Substrate (Small Struct. 2/2026)
Vertically Integrated Microsupercapacitor Arrays In their Research Article (10.1002/sstr.202500426), Suck Won Hong and co-workers report a self-powered microsupercapacitor (MSC) system that integrates a vertically stacked energy storage array with a photovoltaic energy harvester. The ultrathin MSCs are fabricated on flexible liquid crystal polymer films using sequential laser patterning and through-via drilling, combined with in-situ bimetallic oxide synthesis, achieving outstanding areal and volumetric energy densities in a compact, scalable architecture.
