Cover Feature: Excess Iodine Improves the Electronic Properties of Zinc Phosphate and Pb‐Halide Perovskite Nanostructured Interfaces (Small Struct. 2/2026)
Nanostructured Interfaces Zinc phosphate is a novel material to protect perovskite from moisture. However, mid-gap states involving Zn, O, Pb, and iodine are created at the interface. Halide additives could passivate these defects and recover the band gap of perovskite even with distorted interface by drawing charge density onto themselves that had previously centred on oxygen ions at interface.
