The Overlap of Migraine and Transient Global Amnesia: A Case Report and Literature Review on the Concept of “Migramnesia”
This case adds to the limited number of reports describing a temporal link between migraine and TGA events. A review of the literature reveals conflicting evidence regarding migraine as a risk factor for TGA recurrence. While our case and some studies suggest a plausible association, the evidence is inconsistent. This case highlights the need for further research, including rigorous prospective studies and analyses of potential migraine-related subgroups within TGA populations, to clarify any underlying pathophysiological connections.
