USING THE OPEN ROBERTA PLATFORM IN ROBOTICS
The Open Roberta platform, developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS), is an innovative, open-source programming environment designed to facilitate the teaching and learning of robotics and programming. Open Roberta offers a cloud-based, block-programming environment that simplifies the creation of robotic programs through the NEPO® language. This paper explores the theoretical foundations of Open Roberta and its implementation in practical robotics projects. By lowering barriers to entry through a userfriendly interface and integrating simulation with real-world robotics, the platform serves as a catalyst for innovation in both classroom and extracurricular activities.
