π‘‡π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘”π‘™π‘œπ‘‘π‘œπ‘›π‘‘π‘œπ‘π‘‘π‘’π‘™π‘™π‘Ž nom. nov. is herein proposed as a replacement name for the salifid leech genus π‘‡π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘”π‘™π‘œπ‘π‘‘π‘’π‘™π‘™π‘Ž Liu and Nakano in Liu, Li, Wu, Lin, Li, Nakano, and Liu, 2025, because the latter genus-group name is preoccupied by the acariform genus π‘‡π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘”π‘™π‘œπ‘π‘‘π‘’π‘™π‘™π‘Ž Oudemans, 1937.
