Embracing Exhaustion
In contrast to recovery, these Embracements hold and document the poses of a tired body. They complicate the idea of rest in a society from which there can be no recovery. They break with the idea of fitness and approach it in a standstill. And I fulfil the fall into a vibratory space that holds, shifts and amplifies that sensation of movements that oscillate between stillness and action. There is always a vibration, a shaking that unmoors and unsettles the rigidity of status quo/hegemonic structures and offers a possibility of an otherwise.
