A dataset of wholesale market transaction price survey statistics of cucumbers in China from 2012 to 2022

<p indent="0mm">Cucumber is popular because of its refreshing taste and health care function, and its historical price data is of great significance to the analysis of future price fluctuation trend. This dataset collects and organizes the average daily transaction price data of cucumber wholesale markets from 2012 to 2022. It covers 27 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), such as Anhui Province and Beijing. The basic data were sorted, analyzed and cleaned. Dataset evaluation and optimization were completed through data quality control procedures including missing value imputation, outlier identification and elimination. The improved basic dataset was processed to form the monthly/quarterly/annual average price and corresponding dataets of month-on-month and year-on-year change rates of the cucumber wholesale market during 2012–2022. This dataset can provide a scientific basis for cucumber industry layout optimization, market analysis, price fluctuation pattern studies, and price prediction. It can provide important scientific support for relevant government departments to guide planting layout and stabilize cucumber prices.
