Real-time secure transmission of biomedical data: a cloud solution for IoMT

The advancement of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) has enabled real-time health monitoring and remote patient care. However, securing biomedical data transmission is essential to protect patient privacy and ensure data integrity. This paper presents a cloud-based framework for secure real-time transmission of biomedical data using TMP102 and MAX30102 sensors interfaced with an STM32BL475E IoT board. The collected temperature, heart rate (HR), and SpO 2 data are encrypted with the Speck algorithm and securely transmitted to the cloud. Authorized healthcare professionals can decrypt and access the data in real time via a web-based interface. This approach enhances data security, prevents unauthorized access, and ensures reliable remote health monitoring with minimal latency. The paper discusses the system architecture, encryption methodology, and performance evaluation, demonstrating its effectiveness in secure biomedical data transmission.
