UrbanPluse: a smart IoT bus stop with crowd & climate awareness
This project introduces an IoT-based smart bus stop aimed at improving both commuter safety and comfort. It utilizes components like the ESP32 microcontroller, a DHT22 sensor for monitoring environmental conditions, and a PIR sensor for detecting crowd presence. To assist users, the system includes visual feedback through a TFT display and LED indicators, alongside a buzzer and emergency button for alerts. The modular nature of the setup not only enhances usability but also allows authorities to gather actionable data, pushing public transit toward smarter urban solutions.
