Detection of Endothelial Plaque in Microbial Keratitis Using Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography
Slit lamp examination substantially under-detects endothelial plaque compared to ASOCT, while ASOCT enables reproducible detection with excellent intra- and inter-grader agreement. These findings support incorporation of ASOCT imaging into microbial keratitis evaluation protocols. Differences in round and flat endothelial plaque morphologies warrant further investigation.
