Driving SME Performance Through Budgetary Control, Green Innovation, and Digital Payment Services

This study aims to analyze the effect of budgetary control (BC), green innovation (GI), and digital payment (DP) services on the performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs). The method used is a quantitative approach, with primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 staff and SME owners in DKI Jakarta with adequate knowledge of business operations and operating in the consumption, convection, printing, crafts, furniture, and raw material processing sectors. Data processing is carried out using SmartPLS and SPSS. Thirty new measurement indicators are adjusted to the context of SMEs in Indonesia through discussions with SME actors and sustainability experts. BC, GI, and DP services have a significant positive effect on SME performance (SP). BC, GI, and DP contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17), by improving the performance of SMEs that create new jobs and increase the country’s GDP. SMEs can provide data entry and management training for employees and leverage green concepts as product differentiators to increase sales. In addition, SMEs can optimize the use of DP services. SMEs that still use conventional transaction methods are encouraged to use DP services to support all business operations. SMEs that still use traditional transaction methods are encouraged to adopt DP services to support all business operations. SMEs that still use conventional transaction methods are encouraged to adopt DP services to evaluate and monitor SME transactions and performance.
