A dataset of statistical survey data on green pepper wholesale market transaction prices in Beijing (2012–2018)

<p indent="0mm">Green pepper is an important characteristic vegetable crop in my country, and price fluctuations have a significant impact on the development of the green pepper industry. Drawing on the key agricultural product market monitoring database of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Agricultural Product Business Information Public Service Platform, the National Agricultural Agricultural Product Wholesale Market Price Information System and other platforms, and combined with field surveys conducted by the project team, we obtained a dataset of statistical survey data on green pepper wholesale market transaction prices in Beijing from 2012 to 2018. To ensure data authenticity, integrity, and continuity, multi-source raw price records were harmonized, examined for completeness, screened for outliers, treated for missing values following predefined rules, and cross-checked for consistency between statistical calculations and figure outputs. This dataset Excel files containing annual, seasonal, monthly, and weekly average wholesale prices and change rate data for 9 green pepper wholesale markets in Beijing, along with the corresponding line charts, and on this basis, a set of multi-level maps illustrating the spatial variation of annual average green pepper prices across Beijing’s regional wholesale markets was further generated. This dataset provides basic scientific data for carrying out relevant research on the characteristics of green pepper price fluctuations, guiding the standardized and orderly operation of the green pepper market, and effectively formulating effective regulations, policies, industrial development strategies, and support measures.
