Ultrasound-guided S-ICD implantation: A proof-of-concept study
Fluoroscopic guidance ensures optimal positioning during subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD) implantation, as optimal system placement is paramount for defibrillation.1,2 Lead implantation depth is the key determinant of successful defibrillation-threshold testing (DFT) the risk of failure correlates with the lead position on postprocedure lateral chest X-ray.1,3,4
