(PM-21) Scheduled dating x leisure islands

Abstract Introduction Adult couples with young children who suffer from sexual dysfunctions usually have a schedule full of activities that exclude “the romantic and erotic couple.” In many dysfunctional couples, there is a “family” and there is no longer a couple in intimacy. Introducing a “Scheduled Dating” into the schedule of a couple with sexual dysfunctions using this name can induce anxiety, sexual demands, avoidance and even boycott. For 17 years in sexology, I have used LEISURE ISLANDS to create islands of isolation so that the couple can be alone, away from their children and everyone else. Material and Methods On Sunday, the couple will choose 2 to 3 weekly shifts (of 3 hours or more) to do 2 types of activities: 1) Public: going out to dinner, going to the movies, riding a bike, walking, taking dance classes, going out dancing, etc.; The conversations will not address topics such as household management, children or professional issues. The topics of conversation will be feelings, hobbies and individual and couple dreams. 2) Intimacy: enjoying sensual and sexual moments, improving the erotic connection. In this space, in the future, the “homework” of Sexual Therapy will be carried out. It is important to set aside time for romance within the marriage, which will be possible with the creation of the ISLANDS OF LEISURE. Results On average, 36 couples per year, for 17 years, were instructed in the ISLANDS OF LEISURE TECHNIQUE. The technique was applied to more than 600 couples over 17 years. The majority initially managed one shift per week, progressing to two shifts of isolation. Couples without small children were more quickly able to schedule three shifts per week. Conclusion The Islands of Leisure technique was effective in restoring intimacy among couples with sexual dysfunctions. Financing No conflict.
