Composite dissimilar material based heating power optimization method for electro-thermal multi-energy flexible generator

To address clean heating and unstable wind energy output, an Electro-Thermal Multi-Energy Flexible Generator is proposed. However, its heating power is limited by material constraints. This study introduces a double layer stator of dissimilar materials, validated through theoretical analyses and finite element simulations. Compared to previous designs, the double-layer stator composed of aluminum and AISI 1010 increases heating power from 3.32 kW to 10.28 kW. Specifically, the adoption of a double layer stator also suppresses the torque ripple of the device, reducing it from 1.77% to 0.56%. Furthermore, different material pairings are evaluated, with the copper–Hiperco 50 combination achieving the best results among the selected configurations, delivering 14.61 kW heating power and 0.51% torque ripple. These findings highlight the advantages of the double-layer stator for clean heating and reducing wind curtailment.
