Ontomorphogenesis of

The Southern Aral Sea region is characterized by arid ecosystems with sharp temperature fluctuations, low precipitation, and high soil salinity, which strongly influence plant development. Studying the ontomorphogenesis of resistant species is therefore crucial for understanding their adaptive strategies. This research aimed to investigate the ontomorphogenesis of Crambe orientalis L. under the natural and climatic conditions of the Southern Aral Sea region, with emphasis on developmental features and adaptation mechanisms. Field studies were carried out on natural populations in different biotopes over several growing seasons. Methods included phenological observations, morphometric analyses, and stage-by-stage descriptions of ontogenesis according to a standard classification system. The study established the main phases of ontogenesis of C. orientalis, described morphological changes at each developmental stage, and identified adaptive traits supporting survival in an arid climate. The species demonstrated high ecological plasticity and the ability to accelerate its life cycle under cultivation compared to natural conditions. The results provide important insights into the adaptive strategies of C. orientalis and may serve as a basis for developing conservation measures and introducing drought-resistant species into cultivation in arid regions.

Studying the ontomorphogenesis of resistant species is therefore crucial for understanding their adaptive strategies. Field studies were carried out on natural populations in different biotopes over several growing seasons.
