Amorphous deacetylated chitosan nanofiber supercapacitors
We investigated the electric storage effect of fast charging by voltage application in amorphous chitosan supercapacitors, focusing on the electronic role of the degree of deacetylation (DDA) through Schottky junction measurements, charging/discharging analyses, AC impedance studies, and electron spin resonance (ESR) characterization. The optimal electrical storage capacity was observed in 82.7%–84.4% DDA samples, exhibiting solid electrolyte electrical resistances of 400–4000 $ \Omega \textrm {cm}$ The highest energy storage (7333.2 $\textrm {mJ}/\textrm {m}$ 2) was achieved for the specimen with 82.7% DDA by fast charging at 800 V. ESR spectral analysis exhibited that the conducting electron of chitosan nanofiber (ChNF) was identified as radicals on the aminyl radical, $\text{N}^{\bullet}\text{H}$ . Paper electronics made from marine products are beneficial as a renewable technology.
