The Water Surface Metaphor: A Unified Theory of Physics via Material Contraction
Notice: This version (4.0) is a major update that replaces the previous version (3.0). We have completely revised the manuscript as the underlying assumptions in version 3.0 were found to be incorrect. This version provides the corrected results and analysis derived from the original work [DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18405700]. Summary: This paper presents the definitive version of the Material Contraction Universe Model (MCUM), a unified theory of physics that originates from the intuitive "Water Surface Metaphor." By reversing the standard paradigm of "expanding space" to "contracting matter," we provide a comprehensive geometric framework that unifies macro-cosmology and micro-quantum mechanics. The Water Surface Metaphor: Ice (Stars and Particles): Matter floating on the "surface" of spacetime. Melting (Contraction): Matter itself contracts over time, producing energy (Water). Gravitational Wells (Depressions): The released energy fills the depressions in spacetime caused by gravity. Spring Water (Dark Matter & Waves): When this energy exceeds the well's capacity, it erupts like spring water, driving the motion of matter—offering a new origin for dark matter and quantum wave phenomena. Key Highlights of Version 4.0: Corrected Derivations: All mathematical errors from previous iterations have been resolved, providing a rigorous derivation of the state equation $w_{purge}$ and the progress factor $P$. Zero Free Parameters: All fundamental constants are derived from a single geometric function $\delta(r) = 1/\ln(r/\ell_P)$, leaving no room for arbitrary adjustment. Observational Alignment: The model naturally resolves the "Hubble Tension" and shows decisive statistical superiority over the $\Lambda$CDM model, consistent with the latest DESI 2024 observational data. Philosophical Continuity: This work is the mathematical realization of the foundational philosophy published at: https://note.com/dear_lynx1235/n/nfd479e40e307
