Findings This study identifies the most influential countries, authors and institutions in the topic of sustainable performance as well as the themes studied in the relevant disciplines. This paper concludes with the emerging issues and future research agenda in the area of sustainable performance. Research limitations/implications The study concentrates on bibliometric analysis publications on Scopus only while the VOSviewer focuses on quantitative measures. This limitation overlooked other important elements such as theoretical aspects and SDG alignment. Originality/value The originality of this paper lies within its data and mapping.
