Seven draft genomes of Kluyveromyces marxianus strains from alcoholic fermentations in South Africa
Despite its recognized potential for industrial biotechnology and lactose-based fermentations, the genomic diversity of the yeast Kluyveromyces marxianus remains underexplored, especially in non-dairy contexts. Here, we report the draft genomes of seven strains isolated from South Africa, expanding the known genetic diversity of this versatile species.
