Electromagnetic wave absorption properties of SCF/Co@C/PEEK composites fabricated by fused deposition modeling
Short carbon fiber/cobalt nanoparticle-embedded carbon (SCF/Co@C) composites were synthesized via high-temperature pyrolysis, driven by the catalytic effect of Co. SCF/Co@C provides the three-dimensional conductive network structure and multiple heterogeneous interfaces, enabling effectively adjust the dielectric loss and magnetic loss of carbon materials. This enhances the electromagnetic wave absorption properties of the SCF/Co@C composites. SCF/Co@C/PEEK composites were fabricated using fused deposition modeling 3D printing technology. The effects of SCF/Co@C-2 content on microstructure, electromagnetic parameters, and electromagnetic wave absorption performance were investigated. When the content of SCC-2 is 30%, with the thickness of only 1.7 mm, the minimum reflection loss value of SCC-2/PEEK composite is -54.15 dB. The maximum EAB of 30% SCC-2/PEEK composite materials is up to 5.73 GHz (10.82-16.55 GHz). The SCF/Co@C-2/PEEK composites demonstrate outstanding EMWA performances, showing great promise as structural-functional integrated materials. This achievement realizes the perfect combination of heterogeneous interfacial engineering and fused deposition modeling 3D printing technology.
