Fibrilación auricular en la paciente con cardiopatía isquémica
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained cardiac arrhythmia. The prevalence and incidence of AF are lower among women compared to men, with an important influence on prognosis and mortality. In the Framingham population, median survival was shown to be 12.1 years in women with AF and 21.3 years in women without AF. 1 The risk of mortality is 1.5 in men (95% CI, 1.2 to 1.8) and 1.9 in women (95% CI, 1.5 to 2.2).
