In‐Demand and Now Available: N ‐Difluoromethylpyrazoles
ABSTRACT We report a method for the difluoromethylation of 3(5)‐methylpyrazole, enabling the synthesis of two isomers: 1‐(difluoromethyl)‐3‐methyl‐ 1 H ‐pyrazole and 1‐(difluoromethyl)‐5‐methyl‐ 1 H ‐pyrazole. These compounds were subsequently used to prepare a range of 4‐substituted N ‐difluoromethylated pyrazole derivatives—a transformation accomplished for the first time. The resulting derivatives serve as versatile precursors for the preparation of diverse N ‐difluoromethyl–substituted pyrazoles. Such compounds hold significant promise for applications across multiple research fields, ranging from materials science to medicinal chemistry.
