Integrated communication and secure transmission technology for Seeding-irrigation in hilly and mountainous areas based on identity authentication and SM4 algorithm

To solve the terrain interference and data leakage and tampering in the communication of the agricultural IoT seeding-irrigation integrated system in hilly and mountainous areas, a communication security transmission technology that adapts to complex conditions is proposed. The study first constructs a “three-layer two links” system architecture, using low-power elliptic curve cryptography to achieve bidirectional authentication of devices, and combining it with the improved Shang Mi 4 block cipher dynamic white-box library to encrypt perception layer data. In addition, the research adopts principal component analysis dimensionality reduction and support vector machine optimized by improved grey wolf algorithm to detect application layer traffic and improve system communication transmission security. The study selected a rice base dataset in a hilly mountainous area for experimentation. In the encryption and decryption tests, the average time required for the proposed technology was 63.5 µs and 33.4 µs, respectively, which was superior to similar techniques. In the data processing efficiency per second, the proposed technology achieved the best overall performance with a data processing capacity of 129.7 MB per second. In abnormal traffic detection, the success rate was 95.3%, with a maximum time of 23.4 s, which was superior to similar models. Meanwhile, in the comprehensive testing, the proposed technology showed the best overall performance with an accuracy of 96.4% in denial of service attack scenarios and an F1 value of 89.4% in detection attack scenarios. The proposed technology effectively ensures the communication security of agricultural systems in hilly and mountainous areas. This study provides technical support for agricultural information automation.
