Hydra-Core: Hierarchical Energy Insurance for Edge and Server AI Systems
Hydra-Core is a lightweight front-end filtering layer designed for large language models(LLMs) and edge AI workloads. Instead of enforcing aggressive energy reduction directlyat the hardware level, it operates as an “idle-detector / energy-insurance” mechanism. Thiswork presents its theoretical foundation (spectral corridor, two-block verification, dynamicbias injection) and its engineering-level implementation. In addition, we report aggregatemetrics from a batch experiment applied to 2000 real speech samples. The results confirmsignificant energy gains under low/medium traffic conditions, while also showing that thesystem should automatically enter bypass mode under highly continuous workloads.
