THE LAW OF MIMETIC SATURATION_B

The Law of Mimetic Saturation (CBD) This preprint introduces the Law of Mimetic Saturation as a foundational principle of the Crowd-Based Dynamics (CBD) framework. The law formalizes how collective systems self-regulate through progressive accumulation of mimetic signals, behaviors, and narratives, leading to psychological and informational saturation without requiring centralized control. It demonstrates that collective instability does not emerge from isolated shocks, but from upstream accumulation processes that gradually reduce adaptive margins and amplify sensitivity to internal divergence.Beyond a critical saturation threshold, additional stimuli no longer stabilize the system and instead accelerate convergence breakdown, loss of reversibility, and regime transition. The Law of Mimetic Saturation provides the structural basis for understanding tipping points, irreversible transitions, and systemic collapse in social, economic, and artificial systems. It serves as the foundational layer upon which higher-order limits—such as the Sterking Limit and the Universal Stability Limit—are defined.
