D4.2 OWC Localisation Sensing System Construction

This deliverable reports the implementation and initial validation of three optical wireless positioning methods based on time difference of arrival (TDoA), beamsteering and received signal strength (RSS). Sub-6 GHz TDoA tests demonstrated centimetric accuracy outdoors and indoors, with calibration significantly improving performance. The beamsteering-based method achieved sub-5 cm two-dimensional accuracy, low sensitivity to UE orientation, and millisecond-range latency. Finally, a dedicated RSSbased platform was developed, including commercial optical transceivers and real-time acquisition, and RSS acquisition was validated. These results pave the way for full validation of each method individually and then integrated in the full OPTI-6G in the next deliverable 4.3.
