msf:49810 — Why Atoms Re-Emit Light: Prism Sorting and Frequency-Dependent Resonance in USP Field Theory
This standalone note reinterprets prism dispersion and atomic light re-emission using USP Field Theory. Instead of treating prisms as wavelength-dependent bending devices, the paper frames light–matter interaction as resonance corridor compatibility governed by a mismatch parameter Δf. Prisms and atoms selectively sustain compatible frequencies and release them directionally as corridor stability fails. Angular dispersion, spectral gaps, transparency, conduction, opacity, and heat emerge as deterministic outcomes of corridor geometry rather than intrinsic optical categories. The work includes schematic figures, a resonance-depth model, measurable dwell-time predictions (fs–ps scale), and falsifiable experimental signatures.
