High-Altitude Pilot Physiological Monitoring Dataset: Respiratory Performance and SpO₂ Analysis

This paper introduces a comprehensive dataset for evaluating pilots' respiratory function and SpO₂ under high-altitude circumstances. Compared to previous datasets, this collection uniquely provides physiological data across a wide range of simulated altitudes and controlled oxygen environments, with continuous time-series recordings. The dataset includes key physiological parameters such as respiratory rate, heart rate, inspired oxygen concentration, and SpO₂ measurements. Data were gathered from 20 healthy volunteers aged between 18 and 40 years. A hypobaric chamber was used to simulate diverse altitude conditions, and an oxygen generator provided controlled oxygen delivery, facilitating systematic measurement under varying conditions. In total, approximately 44 hours of usable data were recorded. This dataset offers unprecedented coverage for research on oxygen deprivation thresholds in pilots operating during high-altitude flights.
