Integrated System for Managing Cafe and Apartment Services

This study addresses the operational inefficiencies in small to medium-sized businesses managing both café and rental services, primarily caused by manual record-keeping, data redundancy, and slow transaction processing. These challenges often lead to financial discrepancies, lost documentation, and conflicts between lessors and lessees. The primary objective of the study is to develop a centralized, web-based platform that integrates café operations and apartment management into a single system to improve data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and record management. The proposed solution is the Integrated System for Managing Café and Apartment Services, developed using Laravel, Tailwind CSS, and MySQL, designed to automate daily business processes. The Waterfall development methodology was employed to ensure a structured and systematic approach through the phases of requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is intended for business owners, staff, and tenants, offering features such as automated order processing, real-time inventory monitoring, tenant record management, rent tracking, automated billing, and report generation. Functional testing verified that all system modules operated correctly, while usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded an average score of 64, indicating a "GOOD" usability rating and acceptable user satisfaction. The results demonstrate that the system successfully minimizes manual workload and improves data accuracy, with further interface refinements identified to enhance navigation for first-time users.

Abstract

The results demonstrate that the system successfully minimizes manual workload and improves data accuracy, with further interface refinements identified to enhance navigation for first-time users.
