The Reflective Substrate: A Pre-Geometric Framework for Emergent Space, Coherence and Physical Signatures
Unified Pre-Geometric Framework and Physical Signatures of a Reflective Substrate This work presents a unified pre-geometric framework in which space, time, quantum phenomena, and gravitation emerge from the internal dynamics of a single ontological primitive: a reflective substrate. The substrate is defined as a pre-physical, non-metric continuum whose dynamics is intrinsically self-referential. Physical structures arise through stabilized reflexive cycles governed by coherence and resynchronization constraints, without presupposing spacetime, locality, or causal ordering. Quantum discreteness is interpreted as the persistence of localized reflexive cycles, while spacetime geometry and gravitation emerge as large-scale, collective responses of the substrate to inhomogeneous coherence distributions. Within this framework, gravitation is formulated as an emergent macroscopic effect rather than a fundamental interaction. Einstein’s field equations are recovered as an effective limit corresponding to a smooth coherence regime, and a generalized gravitational equation is proposed through the introduction of a coherence backreaction tensor, which vanishes in the classical limit and predicts controlled deviations in high-coherence-gradient domains. Quantum entanglement is reinterpreted as the projection of non-factorizable reflexive attractors onto an emergent geometric description, resolving apparent nonlocality without invoking superluminal influence. Finally, a minimal, falsifiable experimental signature is derived in the form of an energy-dependent propagation delay accumulating over cosmological distances, providing a direct observational handle on the substrate dynamics. The reflective substrate thus offers a closed, testable framework in which quantum behavior, spacetime structure, gravitation, and their interrelations emerge from a single pre-geometric mechanism.
