Von Ernst Jandl bis Tomer Gardi
The article offers a survey of texts turning linguistic forms, conventionally perceived as non-native and deficient according to native speaker norms, into material for literary creation. It thereby focuses on zones of transition between German as a Foreign or Second Language (DaF/DaZ) and literary production. The examination of texts by Ernst Jandl, Feridun Zaimolu, Z do Rock, and Tomer Gardi shows how they challenge the cultural assumption that non-standard German can only serve basic communication, demonstrating instead how such forms enrich literary writings and challenge social hierarchies.
