A low-voltage ride-through control based on active power balance for multi-port magnetic network energy routers-based grid-connection system

Multi-port magnetic network energy routers (MNERs) can achieve integrated operation of renewable energy sources, battery energy storage systems (BESS), grids, and loads. However, each port of the MNER is strongly coupled and the grid usually breaks down, which will limit the flexibility and practicality of the MNER-based grid-connection system. In this paper, a low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) control based on active power balance is proposed for the MNER-based grid-connection system, whose MNER controller, voltage source converter (VSC) controller, photovoltaic (PV) controller, and BESS controller coordinates with each other to achieve LVRT. The MNER-based grid-connection system acquires the capability of the LVRT and great steady-state performance of each port under the proposed control strategy. Simulation is conducted, and the results validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
