Supply Chain-Oriented IoT Technology Landscapes in South Korea and ASEAN: A Topic Modeling and Supply Chain Domain Mapping Approach
This study compares IoT research trends in the Mekong region, non-Mekong ASEAN countries, and South Korea to identify supply chain technological orientations. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) on Scopus-indexed articles (2010-2022) and a supply chain domain mapping approach, we derived research topics in each group and interpreted these technological themes from a supply chain management (SCM) perspective. Results reveal distinct regional priorities: the Mekong group focuses on upstream agriculture and basic connectivity; the non-Mekong ASEAN group emphasizes smart urban systems and industrial applications; and South Korea centers on advanced manufacturing and enabling technologies. These findings highlight structural complementarities in the region, suggesting potential South Korea-ASEAN cooperation.
