The Learning Brain The emergence of Neurodiversity

Learning is treated as a biological and human process shaped by attention, emotion, memory consolidation, and relationship. Attention selects what is encoded, emotion shapes salience and motivation, and memory systems stabilize learning across time. Relationships, relevance, and regulation are presented as functional learning conditions that convert exposure into durable understanding. A brain-aligned framework is outlined for transfer and student autonomy, with practical strategies for retrieval and consolidation, multimodal access routes, and exam-state regulation through breathing routines and attention control. Neurodivergence is framed as a capability profile with distinct strengths and support needs. Frontier topics—including neuromodulation, nootropics, and brain–computer interfaces—are presented as clearly labeled explorations to strengthen scientific judgment and ethical literacy while keeping inquiry future-facing.
