INNOVATIVE SOLUTION FOR STABILIZING THE TILLER ON SLOPING LAND BY USING A COUNTER WEIGHT WITH A WATER TANK

The paper proposes an innovative solution to improve the stability of motor cultivators used in agricultural work on sloping land, by introducing a mobile counterweight, consisting of a water tank mounted upstream. The concept aims to reduce the risk of lateral overturning and improve traction by changing the position of the center of gravity depending on the slope of the land. The study includes a detailed mechanical analysis of the influence of the mass and position of the tank on the stability moments, correlated with simulations regarding the distribution of ground pressure and wheel adhesion. The proposed solution is flexible, environmentally friendly, easy to implement and contributes to increasing the safety of operating motor cultivators in difficult terrain conditions. Thus, the accessibility of sloping land by motor cultivators is increased, with the final result being the increase in the agricultural area of Romania that can be worked mechanized.
