AIR QUALITY MONITORING DRONES
In this article, the implementation of a modular sensor system on the upper casing of an environmental drone, responsible for monitoring air pollutant parameters, will be studied. Environmental drones are drones with various configurations designed to analyse air quality indicators through high-precision sensors mounted on them. These sensors can measure various air parameters, such as fine particulate matter, carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulphur dioxide (SO2), ozone (O3), or meteorological parameters such as temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure. The objective of the study is to examine the flexibility and efficiency of modular sensors, which can be customized based on the specific needs of users or drone missions, and to assess the feasibility of this type of sensor system.
