D3.2 Federated Data Exchange Infrastructure Architecture (v2)
This deliverable presents the final and updated version of OPENTUNITY's Federated Data Exchange Infrastructure (FDEI) Architecture, which is one of OPENTUNITY’s innovations. The purpose of FDEI is to facilitate data exchange by delivering OPENTUNITY’s federated data space infrastructure, ultimately creating a secure, trustworthy environment that promotes interoperability, sovereignty and trust. OPENTUNITY’s Federated Data Exchange Infrastructure is fully aligned with Gaia-X and IDSA standards, ensuring interoperability with other compliant data spaces. In addition, OPENTUNITY was introduced to the Data Cellar Consortium, and specific interoperability decisions and actions have been taken, as described in this deliverable. The current focus is on enabling collaboration between the federated catalogues of both projects so that offerings from each can be discovered and accessed across the two projects. D3.2 Federated Data Exchange Infrastructure Architecture v2 was completed in Month 34 (M34) and describes the activities carried out under Work Package 3 (WP3), particularly Tasks 3.1, 3.2 and 3.4. It presents the work achieved towards the realization of an operational and scalable federated data space. This final version documents the evolution of the OPENTUNITY Federated Data Exchange Infrastructure from a conceptual architecture into a fully functioning, interoperable and trust-worthy data space, ready to support the activities under WP6. This provides the necessary technical framework for scalable and sovereign data exchange between OPENTUNITY components and data space participant platforms, ensuring that data ownership, transparency and interoperability are ensured throughout the ecosystem. It is noteworthy that SSH aspects have been integrated into the design of the Participants Portal UI, ensuring that the onboarding and service discovery process are user-friendly and reflect the needs of organization’s administrators.
