Simultaneous ocular squamous cell carcinoma in a dairy herd from the Colombian high tropics
This paper describes a series of simultaneous cases of ocular squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) in a dairy herd located in the high tropics of Colombia. The herd consisted of Holstein cows and their crossbreeds. The affected animals developed OSCC within a short period of time, prompting a clinical and pathological investigation. The findings suggest that solar radiation, genetic predisposition, and possible viral agents play a crucial role in the development of the neoplasia.
