Securing Tomorrow: How 6G Networks and AI Are Reshaping the Cybersecurity Landscape
Abstract – The convergence of sixth-generation wireless networks and artificial intelligence represents a fundamental transformation in cybersecurity architecture. This study examines how 6G's integration with AI-native systems addresses the escalating complexity of cyber threats while supporting the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0. Through comprehensive analysis of technical architectures, implementation frameworks, and emerging applications, this research demonstrates that AI-driven security systems operating on 6G infrastructure can detect and respond to threats at machine speed while maintaining human oversight. The investigation reveals critical challenges including privacy preservation, quantum computing threats, and scalability limitations, alongside promising solutions such as federated learning, blockchain integration, and post-quantum cryptography. Drawing from current research, industry implementations, and standardization efforts, this article provides a roadmap for organizations preparing for 6G deployment. Key findings indicate that successful implementation requires coordinated action across technology development, workforce training, and organizational culture transformation. The analysis concludes that 6G and AI-driven cybersecurity will enable unprecedented capabilities in personalized medicine, smart manufacturing, and autonomous systems, fundamentally reshaping digital infrastructure for decades to come. This convergence offers opportunities to build more secure, private, and sustainable systems than previously possible, though realizing this potential demands careful attention to technical design, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations.
