Extended Data: Preliminary pharmacology and in vivo feasibility for NMDAR‑STP and synaptic elasticity (Objs 1–3)

This Extended Data document summarises pharmacological strategies and results supporting Objectives 1–3 of the FLF application “Synaptic elasticity, habituation and short‑term memory in the mammalian brain”. It includes in vivo induction and storage of NMDAR‑dependent short‑term potentiation (NMDAR‑STP) in anaesthetised CA1, alongside in vitro pharmacological dissociation of STP1, STP2 and LTP using agents such as nicotine, MLA, UBP791, UBP1700, KT5720 and KN‑93. These data demonstrate selective modulation of distinct STP components and provide mechanistic and feasibility evidence for the planned in vivo and behavioural studies.
