Relativistic configuration-interaction calculations of transitions for low-lying states in the lithium isoelectronic sequence
The excitation energy and the oscillator strength values are computed for the 2 s − 2 p 1 / 2 , 2 s − 2 p 3 / 2 , 2 s − 3 p 1 / 2 , 2 s − 3 p 3 / 2 , 2 p 1 / 2 − 3 d 3 / 2 , 2 p 3 / 2 − 3 d 3 / 2 , 2 p 3 / 2 − 3 d 5 / 2 , 3 p 1 / 2 − 3 d 3 / 2 , 3 p 3 / 2 − 3 d 3 / 2 , 3 p 3 / 2 − 3 d 5 / 2 , 3 d 3 / 2 − 4 f 5 / 2 , 3 d 5 / 2 − 4 f 7 / 2 transitions in the lithium isoelectronic sequence (Z=3 through Z=116). The importance of valence-core as well as core-core correlations for the transition energy and oscillator strength are investigated. The method of calculations is based on the relativistic hydrogen-like (with non-integer nuclear number) wavefunctions.
