Inside Front Cover: Highly Efficient Construction and in Situ Post‐Assembly Modification of Multifunctional Metal–Organic Cages in Microdroplets (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 8/2026)
An efficient microdroplet-based strategy. The first example of in situ post-assembly modification of multifunctional metal–organic cages in microdroplets was achieved by Lin Xu and co-workers in their Research Article (e22301), which enabled the covalent installation of twelve BODIPY chromophores per tetrahedral cage, producing multifunctional assemblies with efficient photosensitizing behavior. The strategy establishes microdroplet reactors as powerful biomimetic platforms for the rapid and precise construction, functionalization, and application of supramolecular architectures.
