Outcomes of Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion in Patients With Cardiac Amyloidosis
•Patients with cardiac amyloidosis (CA) and atrial fibrillation are at high risk for thromboembolic as well as bleeding complications. However, there is a paucity of data for left atrial appendage occlusion in these patients.•We found that while there was no significant difference in overall composite primary outcome (death, stroke, transient ischemic attack, and thromboembolic events) between patients with and without CA, those with CA had outcomes similar to patients without CA with intermediate to high CHA2DS2-VASc scores.•A propensity matched analysis similarly revealed significantly worse outcomes in patients with CA.
