GHDP™: A Definition Paper — Distinguishing Gross Human Dynamics Product from GDP-Derived Human Progress Metrics
This paper formally defines GHDP™ (Gross Human Dynamics Product), a macro-financial framework that models time as a priced economic variable. GHDP™ is introduced to resolve growing terminological ambiguity surrounding the acronym “GHDP,” which has been used in multiple academic and policy contexts to describe GDP-derived human progress or wellbeing metrics. In contrast, GHDP™ does not function as a social indicator, outcome score, or post-hoc adjustment to GDP. Instead, it formalizes human temporal capacity as a binding systemic constraint, explaining how misalignment between system acceleration and human adaptive bandwidth generates tempo-based economic divergence. This definition paper establishes conceptual boundaries, citation standards, and disambiguation guidelines to support accurate classification across economic, policy, and computational research.
