The first Data on the Age of Xenotime from Argillites of the Segozero Structure (Karelian Craton): Results of U–Pb (ID TIMS) Geochronological Studies
This work reports on the first results of U–Pb geochronological studies of xenotime from argillites from the Segozero structure (Jatuli superhorizon, Yangozero formation). The age of xenotime is 1751 ± 5 Ma, indicating that it has been formed not at the stage of diagenesis of rocks, but as a result of the alteration process associated, most likely, with intensive fluid reworking of rocks of the Segozero structure at the final stage of the svecofennian orogeny.
