Fast Data Acquisition and Efficient Signal Processing for an Ultra-High Repetition Rate Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy System
Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy provides valuable insights for material properties measurements. The wider application of the technique in the industry is still hampered by bulky and expensive systems, combined with slow data acquisition and processing, suited mostly for laboratory experiments. In this paper, we propose a compact, all fiber-coupled system, utilizing a mode-locked laser diode and a piezo fiber stretcher, combined with a novel data processing algorithm to enable real-time measurements and data processing with speeds of up to 700 signal traces per second.
