Experimental exploration of a dual reflector objective for corneal sensing in the 220 – 330 GHz band

A dual reflector objective for corneal sensing is experimentally explored in the 220 – 330 GHz frequency range. An electric field distribution of the beam was measured at the focus, and fields were reconstructed along beam’s propagation path. The system produces a ring-shaped terahertz beam, which allows a coaxial integration with optical devices to improve accuracy in extracting corneal properties.

Abstract

A dual reflector objective for corneal sensing is experimentally explored in the 220 – 330 GHz frequency range. An electric field distribution of the beam was measured at the focus, and fields were reconstructed along beam’s propagation path. The system produces a ring-shaped terahertz beam, which allows a coaxial integration with optical devices to improve accuracy in extracting corneal properties.
